
110ft Alloy Yachts sloop.
- Design and build a removable wardrobe in the owner’s cabin, built in the workshop, dissembled for access, fastened together insitu.
- Design and build a pop up computer screen. The unit was built in the workshop, varnished, gas stays fitted, and then fitted to the boat.
Charlatan is a 120ft Alloy Yachts ketch in Auckland for a complete repaint.
Marine Dynamics job list included the following:
- Various teak deck repairs
- Remove and rebuild 16 metres of damaged cap rail
- Removal of margin seam for corrosion repair and painting
- New tender chocks
- Replace glass in deck hatches and a small amount of interior work, headliner repairs etc.
Marine Dynamics was contracted to repair leaking decks on this 70ft motor vessel.
The job included completely refastening and reseaming all decks.
This job was done on a tight time frame as the boat was booked for charter work
during the America's Cup, not only did this stop all leaks it extended the life

In August 2001 Marine Dynamics began work on their own 7 metre custom-built fishing and dive boat, “Mañana”.
- Construction is cedar core with Kevlar and quadraxial E-glass laminates.

Refit on a 51ft traditional Ketch – “Annie”.
Marine Dynamics project managed this entire refit, organising allother trades and sub-contractors.

Marine Dynamics was responsible for the removal and refitting of the:
- Teak cap rails
- Toe rails
- Beltings
As well as carrying out the teak deck repairs and interior joinery.
Marine Dynamics first major refit was on a 110ft Dubois, the sailing yacht “Eclipse”. The time frame of this project was six months, which was met.
This job included some interior alterations,
- Galley and Accommodation modifications
- Fitting air conditioning units throughout the boat
- Removal of pilot house windows/doors for corrosion treatment
Marine Dynamics major task was in the design and laying of a new teak deck.
- 89 square metres of teak using SIKA [NZ] systems
- Laying teak on 298 SIKA using 290 DC to pay the seams
This refit was carried out on a very tight time frame, working in with a number of other trades. New Zealand Marine Scene Sept/Oct 2002 covered the whole refit.
